How to make Statutes

(i) The Syndicate may of its own motion, and shall when required by the Senate, make a draft of any Statute in consultation with the Faculties, if necessary. The draft is to be passed in the Syndicate by two-thirds majority of the members present and voting; (ii) A Statute, passed in the manner provided in Sub-Section (i) shall be presented to the Chancellor for assent and sh:11l come into force on being assented to by the Chancellor in consulta6on with the Government; (iii) A Statute shall remain in force until repealed or amended by a new Statute similarly passed and assented to by the Chancellor.
