Shop keepers and employers to maintain and keep records etc.

(1) In every shop or establishment the shop-keeper or employer concerned shall for the purpose of this Act and any other law for the time being in force, maintain and keep a register of employees in the prescribed form and such other registers records and documents and display such notices as may be prescribed and produce them on demand by the Inspector. The registers shall be kept up-to- date. (2) The register of employees maintained and kept under sub-section (1) may from time to time be inspected and signed by the persons employed in the shop or establishment.
