Amendrncnt of Scction 8.-In thePrincipa1Act, in Section 8-. (i)inthe openingparagraph,afterh eword"degradable"and before h eword "shall" the\rtords,"and or nondegradable-plasticbags using virgin or recyclable material(~)"shall be inserlcd; (ii) for clauses (a), (b) and (c) tflefollowing clauses shall besubstitulcd, namely :- "(a) that Iherccycled bags shaIl be coloured and pigmented and any dye uscd in rnanuracturirlg oisuch plasticbags shallbeinaccordancewirhthepigrnentsandDyes listedin IS 9833 :1981.Reprocessing or recycling is undertaken in accordance wilh IS 14534 : 1998 titled "Guidelincs for recyclingof plartics". Any type ofbags so manufactured shall be marked as follorvs : (i) degradablelnon-dcgradablcplastic bags, as the case may be; ( i virgidrccyclcd plastic bags, as the case may be; (hi unsafe for carrying food, in case,ofrecycledplastic bags; (iv) name and addrcss of the manufa~turer; (b) no personshall man~facture~stock~distributeorsell platic bags madeofvirgin orrecycled,dcgadable or non-dcgradable plastic bags which are less than S x 12 inchcs (20x30 cms) in sizc and ivi~h thichcss less rhan 40 microas; @)Torclausc@),Ihefollowingclauscshallbcsubstituted,namely.- {c) plastic bags manufactured out of virgin plastic shall be of natural or white colour." 12.Anlcndmcntof Scction10.-ln thcf rinciplACL, insection10,insub-scction(I+ (a) in clause (a), for thc expression, "Chapter 11and Chaplcr TV OFrhis Aci", the cxpression "Chapicr [I, Chapter 11A and Chapter IV of this Act" shall be substirutcd; "(b) contravenes any provision of Cliapter 111 of his Act shall bc punishable-(0 for rhe fusl offence, with a fine which may cxtend to one thousand rupees; . (ii) for any second or subsequent offence,with imprisonment for a term which may exlcnd to fiftcea days orwilh frnewhich may extcndto 6ve lhousand rupees, or with boh." 13. Amendment ofSection 11.-In the principal,Act,inSection1I , in the Explanation- (0 in clausc (a), after the words "firmsor" and before the word "other", thc words "indushy or" shall bc inscned; I (ii) inclause(b), forheword "OF' occuringafter the word"firm" andbeforethewords "a managing",theword "or" shall be substituicd. 14.
