Audit and examination of accounts, etc
The Tuticorin Port Trust Act, 1924The accounts of the receipts and expenditure of the Board shall, once in every year, be laid before the '[State Government] and shall be audited and examined by such auditors as shall, from time to time, be appointed by the '[State Government]. For the purposes of any such audit and examination of accounts, the auditors may by summons in writing, require the production before them of all books, deeds, contracts, vouchers and all other documents and papers which they deem necessary; and may require any person holding or accountable for any such books, deeds, contracts, vouchers, documents, or papers to appear before them at any such audit and examination or adjournment thereof, and to answer all questions which may be put to him with respect to the same, or to prepare and submit any further statement which such auditors may consider necessary in explanation thereof.
