Contents of lease, kanam, kanam-kuzhikanam or kuzhikanam deeds

Every lease, kanam, kanam-kuzhikanam or kuzhikanam deed executed after the commencement of the Malabar Tenancy (Amendment) Act, 1951, shall specify—

1. (a) the date of the instrument;
2. (b) the description of the holding;
3. (c) the amount of rent or michavaram payable in respect of the holding;
4. (d) if it is a kanam or kanam-kuzhikanam deed—
   • (i) the kanartham;
   • (ii) the rate or the amount of interest payable in respect of the said kanartham.
