  1. (1) This Act may be called the Malabar Tenancy Act, 1929.
  2. (2) It extends to the Gudalur taluk of the Nilgiris district.
  3. (3) It shall come into force with any of the areas to which this Act extends, on such date as the State Government may by notification in the Fort St. George Gazette, appoint in respect thereof.
