Chapter IX ACQUISITION, ASSEMBLY AND DISPOSAL OF LAND
Statutory text
- (1) Any land required, reserved or designated in a perspective plan, a development plan, or an annual plan or a development scheme shall be deemed to be land needed for a public purpose within the meaning of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 and may be acquired by the Government on request by the Authority.
- (2) Where any land has been acquired by the Government under sub-section (1), it may after it has taken possession of the land, transfer the land to the Authority for the purpose for which the land has been acquired on payment by the Authority of the compensation awarded under the Act and of the charges incurred by the Government in connection with the acquisition.
