Sikkim Town and Country Planning Board

1. (1) As soon as may be, after the commencement of this Act, the Government shall, by notification in the Official Gazette, constitute and appoint for the purpose of carrying out the functions assigned to it under this Act, the Sikkim Town and Country Planning Board.
2. (2) The Board shall consist of the following members, namely:-
   • (i) Chief Minister Chairperson
   • (ii) Minister-in-charge of Urban Development Department Vice Chairperson
   • (iii) Minister-in-charge of Rural Development Department Vice Chairperson
   • (iv) Chief Secretary of the State Member
   • (v) Principal Secretary, Planning and Development Department Member
   • (vi) Principal Secretary, Finance Department Member
   • (vii) Secretary, Land Revenue Department Member
   • (viii) Secretary, Urban Development Department Member
   • (ix) Secretary, Rural Development Department Member
   • (x) Secretary, Law Department Member
   • (xi) Secretary, Agriculture Department Member
   • (xii) Secretary, Horticulture Department Member
   • (xiii) Secretary, Tourism Department Member
   • (xiv) Secretary, Mines and Geology Department Member
   • (xv) Secretary, Transport Department Member
   • (xvi) Secretary, State Pollution Control Board Member
   • (xvii) Secretary, Commerce and Industries Department Member

(xviii) Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Forest and Environment Department Member

1. (xix) Principal Chief Engineer, Public Health Engineering Department Member
2. (xx) Principal Chief Engineer, Power Department Member

1. (xxi) Principal Chief Engineer, Roads & Bridges Department Member
2. (xxii) Two members to be nominated by the Central Government to represent the Department/ Ministries of that Government dealing with Defense, Public Works and Urban Development Member

(xxiii) Two non-officials, who in the opinion of the Government have special knowledge or practical experience of matters relating to Town and Country Planning, Mines and Geology, Engineering, Transport, Industry, Commerce, Agriculture or Economics Member
