Section 8

(1) The President or Chairman of the Manipal Pai Foundation shall be the Pro-Chancellor of the University. (2) The Pro-Chancellor shall preside over the meeting of the Governing Council and Executive Committee and shall exercise such other powers and functions vested with him by or under the provisions of this Act. (3) In the absence of the Chancellor, the Pro-Chancellor shall preside over the convocations of the University.
