Constitution and composition of the Advisory Council

Statutory text
- (1) There shall be an Advisory Council of the University which shall consist of the following members, namely:-
- (i) a person of national eminence in Physical Education and Sports, to be appointed by the Chancellor, who shall be the Chairperson of the Advisory Council;
- (ii) the Vice-Chancellor;
- (iii) Principal Secretary to the Government of Rajasthan, Youth Affairs and Sports Department;
- (iv) Chairman, Rajasthan State Sports Council or his nominee;
- (v) Executive Director, Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports, Patiala;
- (vi) two prominent sportspersons who are recognized for refereeing or umpiring at international sports events, to be nominated by the Chancellor;
- (vii) five sportspersons who have represented the country at Olympics or World Championships, to be nominated by the State Government;
- (viii) two sportspersons belonging to the State who have represented the country or State at international or national level having Arjun Award/ Dronacharya Award/ Guru Vasistha Award/ Maharana Pratap Award to be nominated by the State Government;
- (ix) Dean (Physiotherapy), Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur;
- (x) Registrar of the University, Member-Secretary.
- (2) One-third members present at a meeting of the Advisory Council shall constitute the quorum for meeting.
- (3) The Chairman of the Advisory Council shall perform such functions and exercise such powers as are provided in this Act or as may be prescribed.
- (4) The members shall serve without any additional pay but shall be entitled to daily allowance and travelling expenses as may be prescribed.
- (5) The minutes of meeting of the Advisory Council shall be recorded and maintained by the Member-Secretary of the Advisory Council.
