Short title, extent and commencement

Preliminary

1) This Act may be called the Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board Act,1976 Short title, extent and com m encem en t

1. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Punjab
2. (3) Chapters I and II shall come into force at once and the remaining

provision of this Act shall come into force on such date as the

Government may, by notification, appoint and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act and for different areas of the State.
