Vacation of seats by persons already members of one House on election to other House of Legislature.

(1) If a person who is already a member of the Lcgislnrive Assembly of the Slate of Pun jab and has taken seal in such Legislative Assc~nbly is chosen a member of the Legislativc Council of rhc State of Punjab his seal in Lcgislative Assembly shall, on the publication in ihe Punjab Government Gazetie or thc declaration rhat hc has been so chosen. become vacant.

(2) If a person who is already a member of the hgisla~ive Council of he State of Punjab and has taken his seat in such Council is chosen n member of rhc Legislativc Assembly of the State of Punjab, his seal in the Legislativc Council shall. on the pubiication in the Pir~zjub Goventinet~r Gazette of the declaration rhar he has been so chosen, become vacant.
