Purchase of cane outside the assigned area

(1) If the cane-growers or Cane-growers Cooperative Society or Societies in the assigned area are not willing to enter into agreement to supply, or fail to supply the requisite quantity of cane the agent may, after giving the prescribed notice to the Cane Commissioner, purchase the balance of the cane required by him from outside the assigned area.
