Payment of amount for the land vesting in the State Government

(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in any law for the time being in force, there shall be paid * * * compensation for the land and for the standing crops, trees, wells and tube-wells, if any, which shall vest in the State Government under this Act, determined in the manner and in accordance with the principles specified in the Schedule. (i) In case of land where the landowner has not been receiving any rent or where such land is under self-cultivation, the amount shall be calculated as per the rates provided in the Schedule. (ii) In case of land where the landowner has been receiving rent, the amount shall be adjusted accordingly. (2) The amount shall be paid in the prescribed manner. (3) The amount determined under sub-section (2) shall be paid in the prescribed number of instalments. (4) Any person aggrieved by the amount so determined may within thirty days from the date of the order appeal to the prescribed authority. (5) If there is any dispute regarding the payment of the amount, the amount shall be deposited with the prescribed authority. (6) The amount shall be paid in accordance with the provisions of this section.
