Part III DIRECT RECRUITMENT

Statutory text

(1) All applications received in accordance with the terms of the advertisement and instructions issued by the Commission shall be scrutinised and the Commission at their discretion may reject the candidature of candidates who are not eligible or have failed to comply with the terms and conditions of advertisement and instructions issued by them from time to time. The decision of the Commission as to the eligibility or otherwise of a candidate for admission to the examination shall be final.
(2) The Commission shall consider the applications of the candidates whose candidatures are not rejected and may select from among them those who are considered likely to be suitable with reference to their academic career and other relevant considerations.
(3) The Commission may hold at their discretion a written or oral test or both for determining the suitability and relative merits of the candidates for the vacancies required to be filled up.
