Powers of Election Commission and the Electoral Rolls of Wards

(1) The superintendence, direction and control of the preparation of Electoral Rolls for and the conduct of, all elections to the Grama Panchayats shall be vested in the Election Commission. (2) Unless the Election Commission, by order published in the Gazette directs otherwise, so much of the Electoral Roll for any Assembly Constituency for the time being in force as relates to the area of the Ward shall be deemed to be the Electoral Roll of such Ward for the purposes of this Act.
