Control over the Grama Panchayat

Subject to the provisions of this Act, the rules made thereunder and any special or general orders issued by the State Government from time to time, the Director, Collector, the District Panchayat Officer appointed by the State Government or such other Officer or person specially authorised in that behalf by the State Government shall exercise general powers of inspection, supervision and control over the exercise of powers, discharge of duties and performance of functions by the Grama Panchayat under the provisions of this Act.
