Whereasiit is expedient further to amend The Lushai Hills District (Village Councils) Act, 1953 (Act No. 5 of 1953) (hereinafter referred to as the Principal Act). It is enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Mizoram in the sixty fifth year of the Republic of India as follows, namely :-
