The Neta Pratipaksh shall be paid a salary of Rs. 45,000 per month.

1. The Neta Pratipaksh shall be paid Rs. 45,000 as sumptuary allowance. 2. The Neta Pratipaksh shall be paid Rs. 35,000 as constituency allowance per month. 3. The Neta Pratipaksh shall be paid a daily allowance at the rate of Rs. 1,500 for so long as he remains such leader. (1) नता प्रतिपक्ष को एक हजार रूपये प्रतिमास सत्कार भत्ता दिया जायेगा। (2) नेता प्रतिपक्ष को एक हजार दो सौ पचास रूपये प्रतिमास निर्वाचन क्षेत्र भत्ता दिया जायेगा। (3) नेता प्रतिपक्ष को, जब तक की वह ऐसा नेता बना रहता है, पचहत्तर रूपये प्रतिदिन के हिसाब से दैनिक भत्ता दिया जायेगा। (Based on 1988 Amendment)

(1) The Neta Pratipaksh, so long as he remains such leader and for a period of one month immediately thereafter, shall be entitled without payment of rent to the use of a furnished residence in Bhopal and no charge shall be payable by him personally in respect of the maintenance of such residence. (2) If the Neta Pratipaksh does not avail of the facility provided under sub-section (1), he shall be entitled in lieu thereof to such house rent allowance as may be equal to twenty percent of the salary payable to him under section 3. (3) In addition to the rent-free furnished residence at Bhopal provided under sub-section (1), the Neta Pratipaksh shall also be entitled to use, free of rent, any other place which the State Government may, from time to time, for the purposes of this Act, declare as the official residence of the Neta Pratipaksh, for such period as such declaration remains in force. (4) The expenditure to be incurred on furnishing the residence provided for the Neta Pratipaksh under sub-section (1) shall be subject to a financial limit of Rs. 35,000. (5) The expenditure to be incurred on the annual repairs and maintenance of the residence and garden provided under sub-section (1) shall be subject to such financial limits as may be prescribed by the State Government in the rules made in this behalf. Explanation :- For the purposes of this section, residence includes the attached staff quarters and other buildings, and its garden, and "maintenance" in relation to a residence includes the payment of local rates and taxes and the provision of electricity and water.

(1) The Neta Pratipaksh shall be provided with a suitable motor vehicle for his use, the purchase and maintenance of which shall be borne by the State Government in accordance with the rules made by the State Government in this behalf. (2) The State Government shall also provide for two drivers (chauffeurs) for such motor vehicle at State expense and shall provide suitable motor fuel for such motor vehicle for journeys (other than those for which travelling allowance is admissible) performed by such motor vehicle, not exceeding 350 litres per month. 4. मूल अधिनियम की धार 6 की उपधारा (2) में शब्द "एक मोटरचालक (शोफर)" के स्थान पर शब्द "दो मोटरचालक (शोफर)" स्थापित किये जाये। (1981 Amendment)

(ka) koi vritti nahi karega ya vyapar mein nahi lagega ya koi anya niyojan parishramik prapt karne ke liye grahan nahi karega. (kha) sadasya ke roop mein madhyapradesh vidhan sabha sadasya vetan bhatta tatha penshan adhiniyam 1972 (kramank 7 san 1973) ke adheen koi vetan tatha bhatte prapt nahi karega aur na hi ukt adhiniyam ke adheen koi anya suvidharye prapt karne ka hakdar hoga.

नेता प्रतिपक्ष, अपनी निजी स्थापना में कर्मचारीवृन्द के लिये उसी सीमा तक हकदार होगा जिस सीमा तक कोई मंत्री, राज्य सरकार द्वारा इस निमित्त समय-समय पर जारी किये गये आदेशों के अधीन हकदार होता है।

Madhyapradesh vidhan sabha sadasya, vetan, bhatta tatha penshan adhiniyam, 1972 (kramank 7 san 1973) mein -- (ek) dhara 2 khand (kha) mein, -- (ka) upkhand (char) mein, ant mein ke shabd "aur" ka lop kiya jay; (kha) upkhand (char) ke pashchat nimnalikhit upkhand ant:sthapit kiya jay, arthat:- "(char-ka) madhyapradesh vidhan mandal neta pratipaksh (vetan tatha bhatta) adhiniyam, 1980 mein yatha paribhashit neta pratipaksh, aur" (do) dhara 6-ka ki updhara (4) mein khand (teen) mein shabd "ya dono ke roop mein ke pashchat shabd ya madhyapradesh vidhan mandal neta pratipaksh (vetan tatha bhatta) adhiniyam, 1980 mein yatha paribhashit neta pratipaksh ke roop mein" ant: sthapit kiye jaye: (teen) dhara 8 ka lop kiya jay.
