Short title, Extent and Commencement: - (1) This Act may be called the Madhya Pradesh Irrigation Act, 1931.

[(2) It extends and shall be in force in the whole of Madhya Pradesh. 1. This Act was brought into force in the erstwhile Madhya Pradesh [called C. P. & Berar] on the 15th March 1932, and extended to whole of new M. P. Vide Extension of Laws Act, 1958 w.e.f. 1-1-1959.
