Functions of the Committee
The Madhya Pradesh Shree Ganpati Mandir Khajrana, Indore Adhiniyam, 2003(1) Subject to the provisions of this Act and the rules made thereunder, the Committee shall be responsible for the management, administration and protection of the Temple and its properties. (2) The Committee shall ensure that the daily rituals, pujas and other religious ceremonies are performed in accordance with the traditions of the Temple. (3) The Committee shall prepare the annual budget of the Temple and submit it to the State Government for approval. (4) The Committee shall maintain proper accounts of the receipts and expenditure of the Temple. (5) The Committee may, with the prior approval of the State Government, frame regulations for the conduct of its business and for the efficient management of the Temple. (1) The State Government shall appoint an officer of the rank of Deputy Collector or above as the Administrator of the Temple. (2) The Administrator shall be a whole-time officer and shall exercise such powers and perform such duties as may be prescribed or delegated to him by the Committee. (1) The Committee shall consist of, (a) the Collector of Indore District or if and so long as the Collector is not eligible for membership under sub-section (3), an Additional Collector or a Deputy Collector nominated by the Collector, (b) Four officers to be nominated by the Collector; (c) Two Pujaries to be nominated by the State Government; (d) Two non-Officials, one of whom shall be a person having a Special knowledge of Hindu religion, rites and customs relating to the form of worship practiced in the Mandir, to be nominated by the State Government. (2) The Collector or the person nominated under clause (a) of sub-section (1) shall be the Chairman of the Committee. (3) No person who does not profess Hindu religion and does not accept the form of worship practiced in the Mandir shall be eligible for membership of the Committee. (4) The nomination of the members shall be notified in such manner as may be prescribed. (c) Two Pujaries to be nominated by the State Government; (d) Two non-Officials, one of whom shalt be a person having a Special knowledge of Hindu religion, rites and customs relating to the form of worship practiced in the Mandir, to be nominated by the State Government. The Collector or the person nominated under clause (a) of sub-section (1) shall be the Chairman of the Committee. No Person who does not profess Hindu religion and does not accept the form of worship practiced in the Mandir shall be eligible for membership of the Committee. (4) The nomination of the members shall be notified in such manner as may be prescribed.
