Constitution of the Committee
The Madhya Pradesh Shree Ganpati Mandir Khajrana, Indore Adhiniyam, 2003(1) The State Government shall, by notification, constitute a Committee to be called "Shree Ganpati Mandir Khajrana, Indore Management Committee" for the management, control and looking after the affairs of the Temple. (2) The Committee shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal and shall have power to hold, acquire and dispose of property, both movable and immovable and shall by the said name sue and be sued. (3) The Committee shall consist of the following members, namely:— (i) The Collector, Indore, who shall be the ex-officio Chairman; (ii) The Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Indore or his nominee, ex-officio; (iii) The Superintendent of Police, Indore, ex-officio; (iv) The Executive Engineer, P.W.D., Indore, ex-officio; (v) Five persons to be nominated by the State Government, out of whom one shall be a woman and one shall belong to the Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes. (4) The Collector of Indore District or an officer not below the rank of Additional Collector, designated by the Collector, shall be the Administrator of the Temple. (5) In the absence of the Chairman, the Administrator shall perform all the functions of the Chairman. (6) The term of the nominated members shall be three years from the date of their nomination. (7) The State Government may remove any nominated member at any time without assigning any reason. (8) If a vacancy occurs in the office of a nominated member, the State Government may fill the vacancy in the prescribed manner and the person so nominated shall hold office for the remaining period of the term of the member in whose place he is nominated. The administration and governance of the Temple and its endowments shall be vested in a Committee to be known as the “Shree Ganpati Mandir Management Committee”. Notwithstanding anything contained in any decree or order of any court or any custom or usage or contract, sanad, instrument, deed or property, engagement to the contrary,— (i) the ownership of the Mandir and all the endowments which have been or may hereafter be made for the benefit of the Mandir in the name of any person whatsoever or for the convenience, comfort or benefit of the pilgrims, and (ii) all offerings including "chadhotry" Shall vest in the Deity of Shri Ganapati Devta.
