Powers of the competent authority

The competent authority shall have the power to,-

1. (i) to enter the area of the borewell/ tubewell;
2. (ii) to take measures to prevent accidents,
3. (iii) to verify the safety provisions made at the site of the open tubewell/borewell,
4. (iv) to deploy labour and machinery in case of any accident/mishappening due to negligence.
