Withdrawal of Degree or Diploma
The Rashtriya Vidhi Sansthan Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, 1997(1) The General Council, on the recommendation of the Executive Council, may withdraw any distinction, degree, diploma or privilege conferred or granted to any person by a resolution passed by a majority of the total members of the General Council and by a majority of at least two-thirds of the members present and voting in the meeting of the General Council, if such person has been convicted by a court for an offence which in the opinion of the General Council involves moral turpitude or he is guilty of gross misconduct. (2) No action shall be taken against any person under this section unless the person has been given an opportunity to show cause against the action proposed to be taken. (3) A copy of the resolution passed by the General Council shall be sent to the concerned person immediately. (4) Any person aggrieved by the decision of the General Council may appeal to the Visitor within thirty days from the date of receipt of such resolution. (5) The decision of the Visitor in such appeal shall be final.
