The Director of Research

The Director of Research –

1. (1) There shall be a Director of Research who shall be a whole-time salaried officer of the University.
2. (2) The Director of Research shall be appointed by the University Governing Council in accordance with the Statutes.
3. (3) The salary and allowances and other conditions of service of the Director of Research shall be such as may be prescribed.
4. (4) The Director of Research shall be responsible for the direction and co-ordination of research programmes set forth in Section 46 and for the efficient working of the research centres.
5. (5) The Director of Research shall be responsible for all matters connected with externally funded projects following a single window clearance system.
6. (6) The Director of Research shall exercise such powers and perform such duties as may be conferred or imposed on him by the Statutes.
