The University Engineer

The University Engineer –

1. (1) The University Engineer shall be appointed by the University Governing Council in accordance with the Statutes.
2. (2) The Salary and allowances and other conditions of service of the University Engineer shall be such as may be prescribed.
3. (3) The University Engineer shall be the general custodian of all the properties of the University and shall have the following duties, namely :- a) to make arrangements for the constructions and maintenance of the buildings and other structures of the University. b) to make arrangements for the purchase and maintenance of machinery and other equipments necessary for the purposes of the University. c) to maintain the lawns, grounds and gardens of the University Campus; and d) such other duties as may be assigned to him by the Vice Chancellor .
4. (4) The University Engineer shall, in the discharge of his duties, be responsible to the University Governing Council .
