Amendment of section 38.—For sub-section

1. (1) of section 38 of the principal Act, the following sub-section shall be substituted , namely:— “(1) The Vice-Chancellor shall, appoint Finance Officer on the recommendation of the Selection Committee constituted for such purpose, as prescribed by the Statute, with the approval of the Governing Council. The term of office of the Finance Officer shall be four years from he assumes office or till he completes the age of fifty six, whichever is earlier. The Finance Officer shall be a full time salaried officer of the University.”.
