Appointment of Assessing Officer

The Government may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint officers of the Labour Department, not below the rank of Assistant Labour Officer Grade I or other officers not below the same rank of the Government as Assessing Officers for the purposes of this Act and may fix the local limits of their jurisdiction.
