Power to summon witnesses and take evidence

Power to summon witnesses and take evidence.-The Trustee Committee and the Bar Council shall, for the purposes of any enquiry under this Act, have the same powers as are vested in a civil court while trying a suit under the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908, in respect of the following matters, namely:-

1. (a) enforcing the attendance of any person or examining him on oath;
2. (b) requiring the discovery and production of documents; (c ) receiving evidence on affidavit;
3. (d) issuing commissions for the examination of witnesses.
