Vacating of Office
The Karnataka State Universities Act, 2000Chapter VII VACANCIES ON THE AUTHORITIES
(1) Any member other than the ex-officio member of any authority or body of the University may resign his office. The letter of resignation written in hand by the member shall be sent to the Vice-Chancellor. Such resignation shall take effect immediately on its acceptance and communication to the concerned.
- (2) No member of the authority or body of the University who is nominated in his capacity as a member of a particular body or as a teacher or where expressly stated so, as
the holder of a particular appointment shall continue to be a member of a particular body or teacher or the holder of that particular appointment: Provided that such of the teachers who are continued on attaining superannuation till the end of the academic year on re-employment basis, shall cease to be members of such authority or body on attainment of superannuation.
- (3) A member of any authority or body of the University shall cease to be member on his being convicted by a Court of law for any offence involving moral turpitude.
