Supply of water for domestic purpose not to include any supply for certain specified purpose

The supply of water for domestic purposes shall not be deemed to include any supply,-

1. (a) for any trade, manufacture or business;
2. (b) for gardens or for purposes of irrigation;
3. (c) for building purposes;
4. (d) for fountains, swimming baths, public baths or tanks or for any ornamental or mechanical purposes;
5. (e) for animals, where they are kept for sale or hire for the sale of their produce or any preparation therefrom;
6. (f) for the consumption and use by the inmates of hotels, boarding houses and residential clubs;
7. (g) for the consumption and use by the persons resorting to theatres and cinemas;
8. (h) for constructing or for watering streets; or
   • (i) for washing vehicles where they are kept for sale or hire; but shall be deemed to include a supply,-
   • (i) for flushing privies or drains; and
   • (ii) for all baths other than swimming baths or public baths.
