Ordinances.- (1) Subject to the provisions of this Act and the Statutes, the Ordinances may provide for all or any of the following matters, namely:-

1. (i) admission of students to the University and their enrolment as such;
2. (ii) courses of study for all degrees, diplomas and certificates of the University;
3. (iii) degrees, diplomas and certificates and other requirements for the same and the measures to be taken relating to the granting and obtaining the same;
4. (iv) conditions relating to the award of fellowships, scholarships, studentships, exhibitions, medals and prizes;
5. (v) conduct of examinations, including the terms of office and the duties of examining bodies, examiners and moderators;
6. (vi) conditions of residence of the students of the University;
7. (vii) special arrangements, if any which may be made for the residence, discipline and teaching of women students and prescribing for them special course of study where necessary.
8. (viii) regulating the giving of religious instruction;
9. (ix) management of study centers and other institutions founded or maintained by the University;
10. (x) supervision and inspection of institutions and other institutions recognised to the University;
11. (xi) conditions for recognition of hostels not maintained by the University;
12. (xii) health and discipline of, and disciplinary proceedings against, students in the University and in the recognised institutions and other institutions;
13. (xiii) rules to be observed and enforced by the institutions and recognised institutions in respect of transfer of students; and
14. (xiv) all other matters which by this Act or by the Statutes are to be or may be provided for by the Ordinance.

1. (2) No Ordinance shall be made for amending any of the Regulations or the Statutes in force.
