Qualifications of members

Qualifications of members.-No person shall be eligible to be a member of the Council unless he is a registered practitioner : Provided that in the case of first appointments of members of the Council made under this Act after the commencement of the Jammu and Kashmir Medical Registration (Amendment) Act, 1966, the persons electing the members under section 6, sub-section (2), clauses (c),

1. (d) and (e), and the members appointed, shall be persons who were registered before such commencement or are qualified to be registered under section 14, clauses (a),
2. (b) and (c).
