Resignation and removal of Chairman

Resignation and removal of Chairman.--(1) The Chairman may at any time resign from his office by giving a notice in writing to the Council and such resignation shall take effect from such date as may be specified in the notice or if no such date is specified, from the date of its receipt by the Council.

1. (2) The Chairman may be removed from office by a resolution carried by a majority of the total number of members at a special meeting of the Council called for the purpose upon a requisition made in writing by not less than one-third of such members of the Council.
