Chancellor
The Eternal University (Establishment and Regulation) Act, 2008(1) The Chancellor shall be appointed by the Sponsoring Body with the approval of the State Government for a period of three years in such manner and on such terms and conditions as may be specified by the Statutes. (2) The Chancellor shall be the head of the University. (3) The Chancellor shall preside over the meetings of the Governing Body and at any convocation of the University for conferring degrees, diplomas or other academic distinctions. (4) The Chancellor shall have the following powers, viz:- (a) to call for any information or record; (b) to appoint the Vice-Chancellor; (c) to remove the Vice-Chancellor in accordance with the provisions of sub-section (7) of section 13 of this Act; and (d) such other powers as may be specified by the Statutes.
