Presentation of petitions

Statutory text
- (1) Any Registered practitioner may within a period of thirty days from the date on which the election of any member is notified under sub-section
- (6) of section 3 and on furnishing the prescribed security in the prescribed manner, present on one or more of the grounds specified in sub-section
- (1) of section 48 to the prescribed authority, an election petition in writing against the election of such member.
- (2) The election petition shall be deemed to have been presented to the prescribed authority-
- (a) when it is delivered to the prescribed authority,-
- (i) by the person making the petition, or
- (ii) by the person authorised in writing in this behalf by the person making the petition, or
- (b) when it is sent by registered post and is delivered to the prescribed authority.
