Finance Committee

Statutory text
  1. (1) The Finance Committee shall consist of the following members, namely :-
    • (i) the Vice-Chancellor, who shall be the Chairman;
    • (ii) the Secretary to the Government of Gujarat, Finance Department, ex-officio or his representative not below the rank of the Deputy Secretary, Finance department;
    • (iii) one member of the Board of Governors, to be nominated by the Board of Governors;
    • (iv) one expert in the field of finance, to be nominated by the Board of Governors;
  2. (2) The Finance and Accounts Officer shall be the Secretary of the Finance Committee.
  3. (3) The term of office of the members other than the ex-officio members shall be three years.
  4. (4) Any nominated member may resign from his office by writing under his hand addressed to the Vice-Chancellor and his resignation shall take effect from such date as it is accepted by the Vice-Chancellor.
