Powers and functions of Vice-Chancellor

The Vice-Chancellor shall -

1. (i) exercise general supervision and control over the day to day affairs of the University;
2. (ii) preside over at the meetings of the Executive Council, Academic Council and the Finance Committee;
3. (iii) ensure implementation of the decisions of the authorities of the University;
4. (iv) ensure that the provisions of this Act and the regulations are properly followed;
5. (v) be responsible for imparting of instruction and maintenance of discipline in the University; and
6. (vi) exercise such other powers and perform such other duties as may be assigned to him by or under this Act or the regulations or as may be delegated to him by the Board of Governors or by the Pro-Chancellor.
