Objects of University

The objects of the University shall be as follows, namely:-

1. (a) to develop the knowledge of science, technology, management and environment for the advancement of quality of life of the mankind in general and in relation to the domains of gas, oil and energy in particular;
2. (b) to create centres and institutions of excellence for imparting state-of-the-art education, training and research in the fields of science, technology and management in general and in relation to the domains of gas, oil and energy in particular;
3. (c) to create capabilities for development of knowledge, skills and competencies at various levels;
4. (d) to create capabilities for upgrading the infrastructure of global standard for education, training and research in the areas related to gas, oil and energy;
5. (e) to develop patterns of teaching and training at various levels of educational accomplishment so as to set a high standard of education in science, technology and management in relation to the domains of gas, oil and energy;
6. (f) to function as a leading resource center for knowledge management and entrepreneurship development in the areas of science, technology and management in relation to the domains of gas, oil and energy;
7. (g) to provide inter-relationship for national and global participation in the fields of science, technology and management in relation to the domains of gas, oil and energy and allied fields; and
8. (h) to establish close linkages with industries to make teaching, training and research at the University relevant to the needs of the society, at national and global levels.
