  1. (1) If any difficulty arises in giving effect to the provisions of this Act, the State Government may, by order published in the Official Gazette, make such provisions not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, as may appear to be necessary for removing difficulties: Provided that no such order shall be made under this section after the expiry of two years from the date of commencement of this Act.
  2. (2) Every order made under this section shall be laid, as soon as may be after it is made, before the State Legislature. 1 (Amendment 2012). Short title This Act may be called the Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (Amendment) Act, 2012. 2 (Amendment 2012). Amendment of section 8 of Guj. 14 of In the Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University Act, 2007, in section 8,-
    • (i) in sub-section (2), in clause (iii), for the words "sixty-five years", the words "Seventy years" shall be substituted;
    • (ii) in sub-section (3), for the words "for one more term only", the words "for more than one term" shall be substituted. 1 (Amendment 2021). Short title and commencement
  3. (1) This Act may be called the Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (Amendment) Act, 2021.
  4. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 18th January, 2021. 2 (Amendment 2021). Amendment of long title of Guj. 14 of In the Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University Act, 2007 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Act”), in the long title, for the words “Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University”, the words “Pandit Deendayal Energy University” shall be substituted. 3 (Amendment 2021). Amendment of section 1 of Guj. 14 of In the principal Act, in section 1, in sub-section (1), for the words “Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University”, the words “Pandit Deendayal Energy University” shall be substituted. 4 (Amendment 2021). Amendment of section 2 of Guj. 14 of In the principal Act, in section 2,-
  5. (1) in clause (xii), for the words “Bombay Public Trust Act”, the words “Gujarat Public Trusts Act” shall be substituted;
  6. (2) in clause (xiii), for the words Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University”, the words “Pandit Deendayal Energy University” shall be substituted. 5 (Amendment 2021). Amendment of section 3 of Guj. 14 of In the principal Act, in section 3,-
  7. (1) in sub-section (1), for the words “Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University”, the words “Pandit Deendayal Energy University” shall be substituted;
  8. (2) in sub-section (2), for the words “Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University”, the words “Pandit Deendayal Energy University” shall be substituted. 6 (Amendment 2021). Repeal and saving
  9. (1) The Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (Amendment) Ordinance, 2021 is hereby repealed.
  10. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the principal Act as amended by the said Ordinance, shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the principal Act as amended by this Act.
