Assessment of land revenue.

1. (1) Notwithstanding anything contained in any alienation or in any instrument or any decree or order of a court or any other authority, the land revenue payable by an alienee in respect of an alienated land, the alienation of which is abolished under this Act, shall be assessed at the rate at which it would have been assessed under the provisions of the Code and the rules made thereunder, if the land had not been an alienated land: Provided that, nothing in this section shall apply to any land in respect of which provisions for assessment have been made under any other law for the time being in force.
2. (2) For the purpose of assessment under sub-section (1), the land shall be deemed to be unalienated land.
