Amendment of certain Acts.

1. (1) The enactments specified in the Schedule shall be amended in the manner and to the extent specified in the fourth column thereof.
2. (2) Anything done or any action taken (including any appointment made, notification, order or direction issued or rule made) before the commencement of this Act, by any of the statutory bodies specified in the Schedule, in the exercise of any powers conferred by or under the enactments specified in the said Schedule, shall be deemed to have been validly done or taken as if the said enactments had been in force at all material times with the amendments made therein by this Act; and accordingly, no suit or other legal proceeding shall be maintained or continued in any court or before any authority against the State Government or any statutory body or any officer or person for any action taken or omission made on the ground that the action taken or the omission made was not in accordance with law; and no court or authority shall enforce any decree or order directing the refund of any tax, fee or other dues collected under any of the enactments so amended.
