The Gujarat Salaries and Allowances of Members and Speaker of Gujarat Legislative Assembly, Ministers and Leader of the Opposition Laws (Amendment) Act, 1986
1. Short title and commencement
Short title and commencement.—
- (1) This Act may be called the Gujarat Salaries and Allowances of Members and Speaker of Gujarat Legislative Assembly, Ministers and Leader of the Opposition Laws (Amendment) Act, 1986.
- (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st April, 1986.
2. Amendment of section 3 of Guj. IV of 1960
Amendment of section 3 of Guj. IV of 1960.— In section 3 of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly Members’ Salaries and Allowances Act, 1960, in sub-section (1), for the words "one thousand rupees", the words "one thousand two hundred rupees" shall be substituted.
3. Amendment of section 4 of Guj. IV of 1960
Amendment of section 4 of Guj. IV of 1960. In section 4 of the Gujarat Salaries and Allowances of Members and Speaker of Gujarat Legislative Assembly, Ministers and Leader of the Opposition Laws (Amendment) Act, 1960 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act"), in sub-section (1), for the words "five hundred rupees", the words "seven hundred and fifty rupees" shall be substituted.
4. Amendment of section 5 of Guj. IV of 1960

5. In section 5 of the principal Act, for the words "two hundred and fifty rupees", the words "five hundred rupees" shall be substituted.
Amendment of section 6 of Guj. IV of 1960 Amendment of section 6 of Guj. IV of 1960. — In section 6 of the Gujarat Salaries and Allowances of Members and Speaker of Gujarat Legislative Assembly, Ministers and Leader of the Opposition Laws Act (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act"), for the words "one thousand and five hundred rupees", the words "two thousand rupees" shall be substituted.

Amendment of section 7 of Guj. IV of 1960. — In section 7 of the principal Act, for the words "one thousand and five hundred rupees", the words "two thousand rupees" shall be substituted.
7. Amendment of section 8 of Guj. IV of 1960

8. In section 8 of the principal Act, for the words "one hundred rupees" the words "one hundred and fifty rupees" shall be substituted.

9. In section 11 of the principal Act, for the words "one thousand rupees" the words "one thousand five hundred rupees" shall be substituted.

IV of 1960.—In section 15 of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly (Speaker and Deputy Speaker) Salaries and Allowances Act, 1960, in sub-section (1), for the words "one hundred and fifty rupees", the words "three hundred rupees" shall be substituted.
10. Amendment of section 4 of Guj. VI of 1960
Amendment of section 4 of Guj. VI of 1960.—In section 4 of the Bombay Legislature Members' Salaries and Allowances Act, 1956, in its application to the State of Gujarat, in sub-section (1), for the words "one hundred and fifty rupees", the words "three hundred rupees" shall be substituted.
11. Amendment of section 5 of Guj. VI of 1960
Amendment of section 5 of Guj. VI of 1960. In section 5 of the Gujarat Salaries and Allowances of Members of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly Act, 1960 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act"),—
- (1) in sub-section (1), for the word "six hundred" the words "one thousand" shall be substituted;
- (2) in sub-section (2), for the words "four hundred" the words "six hundred" shall be substituted.
12. Amendment of section 6 of Guj. VI of 1960

13. In section 6 of the principal Act, for the words "three hundred" the words "five hundred" shall be substituted.
Amendment of section 7 of Guj. VI of 1960 Amendment of section 7 of Guj. VI of 1960. - In section 7 of the principal Act, for the words "one thousand rupees", the words "one thousand two hundred rupees" shall be substituted.
14. Amendment of section 8 of Guj. VI of 1960
Amendment of section 8 of Guj. VI of 1960. - In section 8 of the principal Act, for the words "five hundred rupees", the words "six hundred rupees" shall be substituted.
15. Amendment of section 9 of Guj. VI of 1960

16. In section 9 of the principal Act, for the words "one thousand rupees", the words "one thousand two hundred rupees" shall be substituted.

18. VII of 1960), for the words "two thousand rupees", the words "two thousand five hundred rupees" shall be substituted.

19. Amendment of section 5 of Guj. VII of 1960
Amendment of section 5 of Guj. VII of 1960. - In section 5 of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly (Speaker and Deputy Speaker) Salaries and Allowances Act, 1960 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act"), for clause (b), the following shall be substituted, namely: -
- (b) a sumptuary allowance of seven hundred rupees per mensen.
20. Amendment of section 6 of Guj. VII of 1960
Amendment of section 6 of Guj. VII of 1960. - In section 6 of the principal Act, for the words "five hundred rupees", the words "seven hundred rupees" shall be substituted.
21. Amendment of section 7 of Guj. VII of 1960
Amendment of section 7 of Guj. VII of 1960.- In section 7 of the principal Act, for the words "one hundred rupees" the words "one hundred and fifty rupees" shall be substituted.
22. Amendment of section 8 of Guj. VII of 1960
Amendment of section 8 of Guj. VII of 1960.- In section 8 of the principal Act, for the words "one hundred rupees" the words "one hundred and fifty rupees" shall be substituted.
23. Amendment of section 3 of Guj. II of 1979
Amendment of section 3 of Guj. II of 1979.—In section 3 of the Gujarat Salaries and Allowances of Members of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly Act, 1979 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act"), in sub-section (1), for the words "seven hundred and fifty rupees", the words "one thousand rupees" shall be substituted.

Amendment of section 4 of Guj. II of 1979.—In section 4 of the principal Act, for the words "seven hundred and fifty rupees", the words "one thousand rupees" shall be substituted.
25. Amendment of section 5 of Guj. II of 1979

II of 1979.—In section 5 of the Gujarat Salaries and Allowances of Members and Speaker of Gujarat Legislative Assembly, Ministers and Leader of the Opposition Laws (Amendment) Act, 1979 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act"), in sub-section (1), for the words "four hundred rupees", the words "six hundred rupees" shall be substituted.

Amendment of section 6 of Guj. II of 1979.—In section 6 of the principal Act, for the words "four hundred rupees", the words "six hundred rupees" shall be substituted.
27. Amendment of section 7 of Guj. II of 1979
Amendment of section 7 of Guj. II of 1979.—In section 7 of the Gujarat Salaries and Allowances of Members and Speaker of Gujarat Legislative Assembly, Ministers and Leader of the Opposition Laws Act, 1979 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act"), in sub-section (1), for the words "one thousand rupees", the words "one thousand and five hundred rupees" shall be substituted.
28. Amendment of section 8 of Guj. II of 1979
Amendment of section 8 of Guj. II of 1979.—In section 8 of the principal Act, for the words "five hundred rupees", the words "seven hundred and fifty rupees" shall be substituted.
29. Amendment of section 9 of Guj. II of 1979
-1 29. Amendment of section 9 of Guj. II of 1979.—In section 9 of the Gujarat Salaries and Allowances of Members of the Legislative Assembly Act, 1979, for the words "one hundred rupees", the words "one hundred and fifty rupees" shall be substituted.
