Pension to members

Pension to members.—

1. (1) With effect from the date of commencement of this Act, there shall be paid a pension of two thousand rupees per mensem to every person who has served as a member of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly: Provided that where any such person is entitled to any pension under any other law for the time being in force, then such person shall be entitled to receive the pension under this Act only if the amount of pension under such other law is less than the pension payable under this Act and shall be entitled to receive only such difference.
