Definitions

Definitions.—In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,—

1. (a) "Assembly" means the Gujarat Legislative Assembly;
2. (b) "Member" means a member of the Assembly;
3. (c) "Term of office" means the period beginning with the date of publication of the notification in the Official Gazette constituting the Assembly or, as the case may be, the date of the notification of the election of the member, whichever is later, and ending with the date on which his seat becomes vacant.
