Parent to cause child to attend school

In every area of compulsion, save as provided in section 12 the parent of a child to whom a scheme applies shall, if such parent and child ordinarily reside in such area, cause the child to attend an approved school unless there be a reasonable excuse for his non-attendance within the meaning of section 10.
