Amendment of article 70

Amendment of article 70.— In article 70 of the principal Code,—

1. (i) in clause (1), the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:— “ Provided that during the pendency of such inquiry, the Government may if it is found expedient, suspend such committee and appoint an Officer of the Government to take charge of the affairs of such Comunidade till the completion of such inquiry.”;
2. (ii) in clause 3, for the expression “and shall pay the fine of Rs. 50/-”, the expression “and each such member shall pay the fine of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only)” shall be substituted.
