Chapter VII ADMISSION AND EXAMINATIONS

Appointments teaching and non-teaching.—

1. (1) All appointments of teaching and non-teaching staff of the University shall be made in accordance with the provisions of this Act, the Statutes and the Ordinances.
2. (2) Every appointment of a teacher or any other member of the staff shall be made on the basis of merit by a selection committee constituted in accordance with the Statutes.
3. (3) The University shall strictly comply with the reservation policy as may be prescribed by the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, as applicable from time to time.

Arbitration of disputes.—

1. (1) Any dispute arising out of any contract between the University and any employee of the University shall, at the request of the employee concerned or at the instance of the University, be referred to a Tribunal of Arbitration consisting of one member nominated by the Board of Management, one member nominated by the employee concerned, and an umpire to be appointed by the Chancellor.
2. (2) The decision of the Tribunal of Arbitration shall be final and shall not be questioned in any court.
3. (3) No suit or proceeding shall lie in any civil court in respect of any matter which is required by this section to be referred to the Tribunal of Arbitration.
