Grant of Sale Certificate

Statutory text
- (1) When a sale of property has become absolute and the sale proceeds have been received in full by the sale officer, he shall grant a certificate to the purchaser in such form as may be prescribed specifying the property sald, the salle price, the date of the sale, the name of the person who at the time of the sale is declared to be the purchaser, and the date on which the sale became absolute. (2) Upon production of such a certificate in respect of immovable property the Sub-Registrar concerned shall enter the contents of such certificate in his register relating to immovable property. (3) Upon production of such a certificate in respect of landed property, the land record entries shall be duly mutated by the revenue outhorily concerned.
