Definitions.

In this Chapter—

1. (i) "Consolidation of holdings" means the redistribution of all or any of the land in a village, so as to allot to the Bhumiswamis contiguous plots of land for the convenience of cultivation;
2. (ii) "Consolidation Officer" means a Revenue Officer, not below the rank of a Tahsildar, appointed by the State Government for any district or districts to exercise the powers, and to perform the duties of a Consolidation Officer under this Code.
